Came too soon: Ameer, a cleaner from India, mops the lift as well as the lift landing of a Pasir Ris block at 4.30 am in a bid to make it presentable to residents engaged in the morning rush.
Photographer’s Notes: While I was on my way home to conclude my day, Ameer’s probably came a tad too early. He was clearing the inconsiderate acts of yesterday to prepare for the coming of a new day. On seeing his efforts, I wasted no time in documenting it. When I asked Ameer to return to bed after he has done his job, he only answered: “No sleep”.
