Editor’s Comment: Dreams. Browsing through the entries, Kevin’s reached out for attention like a beacon in the dark. The bandaged hand, grasping at a grille. It seems to be reaching out to the lights. Rather than have a dreamy feel to photos, like the sky-dominating entires, Kevin gives a grittier interpretation. Perhaps its a reflection that dreams more than often, are not easy to fulfill.
I like the framing, placing the arm in the centre, drawing focus to it. Black-and-white removes the distraction of colour and adds to that gritty feel.
