030309 – Picture of the day
Editor’s comments: Our weatherman did it again with his treatment of the weather today. The wet spells are back, and so is the umbrella, that juts out from the symmetrical background. The greenery on both sides double up as borders that push the viewer’s attention inwards to the umbrella. While the raindrops are not clear in the picture, the umbrella is sufficient to give hint of the weather. From this top view, the umbrella almost seems like a blooming flower amidst the greenery, and a sign of better times to come for plants, which have been dehydrated from the heat.
There was thought put into the framing, and once that was in place, all that was needed were umbrellas to enter the frame and make the picture.
