120209 – Picture of the day
Editor’s Comment: No Pain, No Gain. Among the entries, Kangli, Rachel and Weiyang’s gave familiar interpretation of the theme. Alex and Adeline gives thoughtful images that go against the notion of pain, one with a smile and the other, of a peaceful posture. Thought provoking but might tend towards being unclear.
Thus, avoiding familiar and less clear notions, I opted for Kevin’s. Action and expressions show me the effort of these boys. Gaining a yard sure takes a lot of pain. Framing-wise, can do away with the dead space on the right. Now I hope to see a news point. (thru captions)
